After a successful year of working as the reviews editor for the Journal of Communication Inquiry, the journal’s advisory board selected me to be the journal’s incoming managing editor for the upcoming 2019-2020 academic year. I will be in charge of the everyday management of the journal as well as putting together a special issue focused on a timely topic in critical cultural studies (more on that soon). On top of that, I have some personal goals of building the journal’s social media presence and finding ways to make the journal more accessible to professors for class readings.
I’ll also be traveling to AEJMC in Toronto this August to present the journal’s first ever top paper award, which will honor a paper that a committee of professors and graduate students voted as the best publication within the journal from the previous year.
You can keep up to date with my work on the journal by liking the journal on Facebook or following us on Twitter.
